This fall, Port Susan Middle School will introduce Student Led
Conferences for all of our students during the November fall conference
time.
Each student is working in their advisory class to develop goals for this academic year that they will be sharing with parents and their advisory teacher. Content of these conferences will include the goals students have set, progress toward those goals using first quarter grades and Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) results.
Last spring students in Mr. G. Carlson, Ms. K White, Ms. C. Jadwin, and Ms. T-D's advisory classes piloted these student led conferences. The results were very positive and are a component of our Navigation 101 curriculum of advisory. Our goal is to help students develop plans to use their middle school experience as a springboard to a successful high school completion that enables each student to be college and/or career ready.
When you are contacted by your student to set an appointment sometime during November 18-20, please do so. All students will conduct a student led conference this fall.
